Position Title: Licensed Therapist/Training Director

NewPath Mental Health Services (formerly known as Christian Recovery Counseling) is a Rule 29 nonprofit community mental health clinic. While our agency specializes in treating issues of trauma, neglect and abuse, we also provide generalist mental health services for a variety of presenting concerns including, but not limited to, mood disorders, personality disorders, and relationship concerns. Additionally, we have a robust and effective intensive outpatient program treating men who have engaged in sexual offenses or harmful sexual behaviors (the Restoration Project- RP).  NewPath Mental Health Services is an agency that embraces our clients’ spiritual or faith backgrounds, and, if clients choose to do so, we honor their desire to bring this element of their experiences into therapy.

We are seeking a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) who is a Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy approved supervisor to provide supervision to 1-3 therapists employed by NewPath and working towards their LMFT licensure. This position is on a contractor basis. The individual who fills this position will provide 1 hour of in person supervision to each therapist once per week and will also read, review, and sign off on clinical notes/files. This position also involves providing regular feedback, written and oral, regarding clinical strengths and growth edges to supervisees as well as periodic availability to answer urgent questions between supervision meetings.  Total time commitment will be approximately 2-6 hours per week depending on number of supervisees taken on.

Contracted supervisor and clinic will agree on hours, although availability on Tuesdays between 11am-3pm is a preferred time frame for our supervisees. Ideal candidates will have significant clinical expertise working with a range of clients and will have ample prior experience providing supervision to trainees and interns.

Other duties include: consultation with Clinical Director regarding supervisees’ clinical progress and following NewPath’s policies and procedures.
