Janet is a licensed professional who has worked with a variety of people since 2004. She has years of experience working with children and adolescents who struggle with emotion and behavior dysregulation, as well as adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Janet has experience in psychosexual assessment and expertise in addressing sexual issues. She is currently seeing clients in the following areas; complex trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, victims of sexual abuse, sexual and intimacy issues, grief and loss, midlife crisis, and interpersonal relationships/divorce.
Janet’s therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral which is strongly influenced by existential thought. Janet also uses Solution Focused techniques, believing that true healing comes when Jesus is part of the solution. She has training and certification in EMDR, AIRNetwork, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Janet is a Bible believing Christian who approaches the therapeutic alliance through this lens. She is eager to work with adults of all faiths and walks of life.
