MA, University of St. Thomas
BA, St. Olaf College
Jon holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Saint Thomas and is pursuing licensure as a professional clinical counselor (LPCC). Previously, Jon worked for nine years as a mental health practitioner providing community-based recovery services to adult clients with diverse backgrounds and support needs.
Jon recognizes his clients’ capacity for personal empowerment and change and is committed to helping individuals and couples realize their full potential. Jon believes there’s more than one road map in therapy. He approaches the therapeutic relationship with curiosity and empathy, to collaborate on a direction toward healing and growth, while building upon strengths and uncovering new coping skills. Jon’s approach is person centered and he draws on a holistic health framework, CBT, and mindfulness techniques. He invites conversations around all dimensions and intersections of identity, from sexual, or spiritual, to cultural, or sociopolitical and welcomes people from any religious philosophy or walk of life.
Outside of work, Jon finds fulfillment spending time with family, connecting with community, and gets energy from passions in music and cooking.

While working towards licensure, Jon is providing therapy under the supervision of a Board-Approved Licensed Mental Health Professional.
