Kara is a licensed drug and alcohol counselor and holds a master's degree in Adlerian Counseling and Psychotherapy.  Her clinical focus is working with clients with co-occurring disorders and providing forensic sex therapy.  Kara also has experience working with adult clients with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, psychosis, and relational issues.

Through her years of professional experience in the field of health care, Kara has learned the value of empathetic and compassionate care.  She believes in order to establish a strong therapeutic relationship, it is important to learn how the client views themself and the world.  She strives to live and work by the Alfred Adler quote, "Seeing with the eyes of another, listening with the ears of another, and feeling with the heart of another."  Upon a client's request, Kara welcomes the opportunity to bring faith practices into the therapeutic process.
