Renee is a licensed professional clinical counselor at NewPath.  She has a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas and sees clients at NewPath Mental Health Services’ Golden Valley location. She is a former social worker with ten years experience working with older adults adjusting to life transitions, grief and loss, trauma and abuse, conflict management, homelessness and physical disabilities.

 

Her clinical interests include depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance abuse and personality disorders. Renee draws upon her experiences as a former social worker and utilizes a variety of approaches and interventions, including CBT, motivational interviewing, experiential and solution-focused methods. She approaches therapy as a collaborative effort between client and therapist to foster adaptive and healthy ways to adjust to life’s challenges.
