Elisha is a certified Biblical Counselor and holds a master's degree in counseling psychology from the University of Minnesota. Previously, Elisha served as a school counselor at a K-12 Christian school for several years, with a passion for serving urban and underprivileged families.

 

Elisha’s approach to counseling balances gentle and warm collaboration with caring and nonjudgmental feedback to promote transformative growth in her clients. Elisha practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems, Nature-Based Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. Elisha maintains an integrated and holistic (mind-body-soul unity) orientation with her clients. She also integrates faith into the counseling process for clients who request this approach. While completing requirements for professional licensure in MN, Elisha is providing therapy under the supervision of a Board Approved Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.

Areas of specialty and interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual and gender identity, body image and eating disorders, relationships, family conflict, grief and loss, and international students and immigration.

 

Elisha is bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and has experience in working with clients with cross-cultural and immigration struggles. She is happy to serve Mandarin-speaking clients who may otherwise find it difficult to find mental health services.
